PROGRAM DIRECTOR - CHILD CARE & YOUTH PROGRAMMING

YMCA: Mifflin Area YMCA

Location: Mohnton, PA

Job Description:

Immediate Opening, position will be responsible for developing, organizing and implementing high quality YMCA child care, youth sports, youth programs and membership.

JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:

The Director is responsible for developing and expanding high quality programs and staff, while maintaining accountability for the department budget(s).
The Director develops and maintains relationships with state child care licensing agency, school administration, parent groups and other organizations and agencies related to assigned programs.
The Director will be responsible for staff development, and may also oversee and provide support to board committees.
The Director provides for upkeep of assigned program facilities and equipment and ensures the physical environment supports healthy living, oversees the Welcome Center and the membership staff, develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations, and assists in YMCA fund raising activities and special events.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

The right candidate will possess a strong commitment to the values inherent in the YMCA mission and commit to YMCA of the USA Best Practices.
Prior program management experience is required, BS degree in Elementary Education or equivalent also required.

Salary: $28,000 - $30,000

The YMCA of Reading & Berks County offers a comprehensive benefits package which includes 8% contribution to retirement upon meeting eligibility requirements, health/dental, vision, life insurance, vacation and personal time off.
