DIRECTOR OF ANNUAL GIVING

Location: Omaha, NE

Job Description:

Join the YMCA of Greater Omaha - a Y on the move - to lead our annual campaign to the next level. You will have full responsibility to design and direct the annual campaign that will impact 11 Y locations in diverse service areas. The position reports to the President & CEO.

Position Purpose: The Director of Annual Giving is responsible for creating the strategies and tactics to fund the mission work of the YMCA of Greater Omaha.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum requirements include a 4-year college degree, excellent writing and presentation skills, and a thorough understanding of developing a relevant case for support message.

Collaborative Relationships:

There are a variety of relationships to be maintained which will cause success. These include:

1. Y location Executive Directors.

2. Public relations outside counsel responsible for all grant writing projects.

3. Assistant to the President who is responsible for supporting this position.

4. Director of Creative Marketing.

5. Y location Board Chairs.

6. Y location Annual Campaign Chairs.

7. Metropolitan Board Campaign Chair and Committee.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Association's Annual Campaign, including the Metropolitan Board Campaign.

2. Tracking and monitoring outcomes for grant and non-grant programming, special events and membership.

3. Tracks and monitors the financial performance, accounts receivable and accounts payable for all grant funded programs and activities.

4. Association-wide United Way staff campaign.

5. Co-lead Association-wide special events.

6. Co-produce communication tactics for internal and external use with the Director of Creative Marketing.

7. Works with each Y location on the board development plan.

8. Works with the President & CEO on enhancing the public image of the Y.

EFFECT ON END RESULTS:

1. Annual giving increases each year.

2. The Association, at minimum, achieves its annual campaign goal.

3. The Y has outcomes that motivate donors and grantors.

4. Staff giving for annual and United Way campaigns grow.

5. A culture of creative and fun annual campaigning is created.

6. Growth in campaigners.

7. Y locations have active board committees and highly functioning volunteer boards.

8. Special events are meaningful and memorable.

9. Y location Executives feel that the position adds value to their fundraising and board development efforts.

10. Funding entities and community leaders consider the Y to be a key player in solving important societal issues in Greater Omaha.

Additional Compensation Details:

Compensation is negotiable based on salary history and background in financial development.

Full time positions include a variety of benefits including: 8% retirement (*when eligibility requirements are met), health insurance, vacation/sick/personal/holiday time, life insurance, and other additional benefits as outlined in the personnel policy.
