SENIOR PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
Under Supervision of the Executive Director, the Senior Program Director is responsible for the organization, delivery and quality of YMCA programs and membership services for members, program participants and community. This position works independently and is expected to accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously.
Oversee the membership, fitness, rentals and sports departments in order to have all areas working together to provide a seamless membership experience, increase retention and meet revenue goals.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for increasing community collaborations relating to programs and initiatives for the Rauner Family YMCA by developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with community agencies and other organizations
- Develops and leads the planning and implementation of member services, involvement and retention, and related marketing efforts; including specialty program growth and quality improvement in the areas of Fitness/Health and Wellness and Sports
- Directs the development and operations of the membership, fitness, rentals and sports departments, focusing on growth, innovation, and new collaborations
- Develops and maintains effective relationships with key internal andexternal staff, members, volunteers and community leaders
- Hires, trains, evaluate, disciplines and supervises assigned Full-Time and Part-Time staff and volunteers in assigned areas. Conduct performance appraisals, rewards and discipline
- Develop and monitor program budgets to meet fiscal objectives
- Hold Directors and Coordinators accountable for developing, managing financial reports as needed.
- Responds to all member and community questions and complaints in a timely manner
- Provides leadership and support for program management team, Coordinates the annual fundraising community campaign, and volunteer committees/boards as assigned
- Develops, produces and distributes program information necessary to promote assigned programs, in accordance with branch marketing plans
- Creating ways to communicate and enhance the overall experience of membership through wellness programs, family programs
- Ensures high quality programs through innovative program development evaluations andongoing training of staff
- Identifies and shares information/resources to resolve issues and keep current in Membership, Fitness and Sports
- Leads in branch-wide community events
- Provides data and reports as required for assigned programs
- Any additional job duties as assign

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a Bachelors Degree in Parks and Recreation, Business or related field with 5 plus years' program development and management experience and 3 to 4 years supervisory experience.
- CPR and First Aide certification.
- Experience in sales and membership management a plus.

Salary: $45,000 - $50,000
