ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF CHILD CARE

Location: Richmond, VA

Job Description:

The Goochland Family YMCA is seeking a mission-driven, energetic and personable professional to advance and create YMCA Pre-school, School-age Child Care and Camp programs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will be responsible for ensuring excellence in the execution of all pre-school, school-age childcare and camp programs through quality program development and enhancement.
Focus will be on strong staff development (hiring, training, mentoring), building relationships among staff and parents, expanding family programming, marketing programming and continuing to grow program participation.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

A college degree in a related field is preferred.
Candidates must possess a minimum of one year experience in child care and one year experience in a management/supervisory role in a child care, pre-school or camp program.
Must meet minimum Commonwealth of Virginia requirements for Childcare Directors.
Candidates should have the ability to build strong relationships with staff, children and families; excellent communication and organization skills; and high energy, initiative, and creativity.

Salary: $28,000 - $28,000

Additional Compensation Details:

Minimum salary is $28,000, plus complimentary family metro-wide Y membership, medical, dental and 12 percent employer-paid retirement, upon vesting.
