ASSOCIATE MARKETING DIRECTOR

Job Description:
YMCA Camp Grady Spruce (CGS) is the overnight camp of the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas. Located 120 miles west of Dallas on Possum Kingdom Lake, Camp Grady Spruce's 865 acres offer an amazing venue to strengthen relationships and explore God's creation. Camp Grady Spruce provides year-round camping opportunities for children, schools, groups, and families. Camp Grady Spruce has the honor of serving over 30,000 people annually.
Currently, CGS is seeking an Associate Marketing Director who will be responsible for marketing Summer Camp, Group and Family Camp and Outdoor Education programs.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Associate Marketing Director is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of a sales and marketing plan for Camp Grady Spruce, ensuring that participants at camp become aware of other CGS camp programs and are encouraged to participate in these other activities.
- This will include brochure and flyer design, internal and external marketing plans, presentations to parent, community and parent groups, open house oversight, monthly e-newsletters and bi-monthly print newsletters, advertisements and press releases, and website oversight.
- The Associate Marketing Director will have weekly tasks for promoting Summer Camp to past and future camper families.
- The incumbent will have monthly projects to coordinate and assist with the execution that will be laid out in a year long plan.
- The incumbent will also be responsible for Social Networking, video and photos of all camp events. The incumbent will serve as the staff liaison to the CGS Marketing Committee.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or the equivalent combination of education or experience is preferred as well as one to three years of experience in a marketing-related field.
- Excellent written and presentation skills must be demonstrated.
- Proven experience in appointment setting, consumer follow-up and engagement, project management, event marketing, digital marketing and community relations is highly sought.
- The ability to work with various camp related groups including: staff, alumni, campers, students, families, parents, board and volunteers as well as the know how to motivate staff and volunteers is necessary.
- The incumbent should be able to develop and monitor a budget and must be able to take prescribed steps toward obtaining & maintaining any required training for this position.
- Detail oriented, self starter who must have ability to establish and maintain harmonious relationships by promoting and demonstrating caring, honesty, respect and responsibility with staff, volunteers, YMCA members, program participants and general public.
Salary: $31,000 - $35,000
