Camp Description: For over 113 years Camp Jewell YMCA has been at the forefront of providing amazing experiences for over 1500 campers a summer. Summer camp capacity is over 450 campers per week during the summer with an annual resident camp budget of $2.2 million.

Job Description and Required Certifications: We are currently looking for a motivated, dynamic, team player to lead our growing traditional summer camp programs. This role will be the face of Camp Jewell YMCA’s summer and family camp programs- inspiring staff to provide the best experience possible for our campers, and being the ultimate role model for our campers. The remainder of the year is focused on developing and enhancing our summer programs as well as recruiting both campers and staff. The role will also lead our 8 family camps that serve over 2500 people a year. Responsibilities include promotion, hiring, scheduling and organization for the related programs, as well as supervision and training of up to 160 seasonal program staff. This job requires excellent organizational and communication skills, creativity, and significant experience in camping, recreation or outdoor education. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Requirements: •Experience in camp, outdoor center, environmental education, recreation and/or ropes course programming; •Experience in developing and implementing a variety of summer camp and family programs preferred. •Excellent oral and written communication skills. •Creativity, excellent organizational skills, willing to be a team player.

Salary Information: Pay $30,000 to $31,500 Housing Included
