Camp Description: The YMCA of Greater New York is the largest youth-service organization in NYC. The organization has grown to encompass 23 branches and more than 140 sites throughout the five boroughs of New York City in addition to three camp sites and an upstate conference center.

Job Description and Required Certifications: The Long Island City YMCA is seeking a qualified individual who will be responsible for interacting with the leadership, campers, counselors and parents during the summer to ensure that the administrative functions of camp run smoothly. Responsibilities: • Successfully manage all data entry, including but not limited to camp applications, attendance, AS400, YouthServices.Net, camper files and program statistics. • Utilize AS400 and track attendance and payments, provide regular reports to camp and Branch leadership and follow up with families regarding fees as necessary. • Interact with guardians related to camp paperwork and track all missing documents. • Provide general administrative support, including but not limited to camp purchase orders, supply research and receipt tracking. • Research program lesson plans and activities, trip locations and program enhancements as needed. • Facilitate camp mailings, support camp Open Houses and help advertise camp through flyer distribution. • Participate in planning and implementation of all camp activities, including but not limited to summer learning initiatives, field trips and in-camp events. • Be willing to work directly with children as needed. • Attend 30 hours of pre-camp staff training. Qualifications: • High School Diploma; college preferred. • Two years of experience in an office setting, preferably a non-profit or a setting with children. • Must be able to work independently.

Salary Information: $10.00 P/H - $15.00 P/H
