Camp Name: Camp Independence

Camp Description: Camp Independence is a special place for campers age seven and up with spina bifida and other neurological disabilities. Like many Y programs, Camp Independence is about learning skills, developing character and making friends. But few environments are as special as camp, where kids become a community as they learn both how to be more independent and how to contribute to a group.

Job Description and Required Certifications: Scope of Responsibilities: Responsible for the health, safety, and welfare of campers. Demonstrate leadership and actively participation in programs, skill periods, and other camp related activities. Serve as a program instructor and provide campers with a positive and wholesome role model. Requirements: have high school diploma or equivalent work/education experience. They must also possess a strong interest, maturity, and judgment in working with children. Knowledge and experience in camp related activities. Good moral judgment. Current certifications in CPR and First Aid are required. We are proud to be an EEO/AA employer M/F/D/V. Employment is subject to a background check.

Salary Information: $245 plus per week
