Job Description and Required Certifications: This full-time exempt Camp Twin Lakes Family YMCA Program Director position requires someone who is highly motivated, organized, personable and enthusiastic. The successful candidate must have a desire to push beyond the normal boundaries of programming, revenue generation and Community participation as we seek to reach out into the Community and expand program services for CTL. The success of this position requires the ability to join the Executive Director in creating a culture of service & caring centered on our campers, parents and staff. Partner with Executive on: - Visioning and planning for the future - 5 Year Strategic Plan - Developing Camp Culture and operational standards Primary areas of focus Include: - Budget development and Fiscal management - Program development - Staff hiring, training & supervision - Promotion & Community outreach - Administration, volunteer development, and Annual Campaign. Areas of responsibility Include: Directing the day-to-day operation of Summer Camp, Holiday Camps and Adventure Guides Planning and program development, implementation, and evaluation Creating a multi-year plan with goals and objectives and identifying areas of new development Developing a strong team that understands and adheres to Y goals and values Building relationships with members that focus on their needs and providing customer service that exceeds expectations Building relationships with the camp staff and orienting staff to policies & procedures, program goals and expectations Monitoring program enrollments; advising parents on most appropriate program; problem solving to resolve member and/or staff issues Overseeing Adventure Guides and other family programs Coordinating and conducting staff meetings and staff evaluations MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE: At least 5 years camp management/operational experience required 4-year college degree in related field preferred Excellent safety record, including ability to respond effectively to safety and emergency situations Previous experience in program development, supervision, volunteer development, and fiscal management Ability to relate well to children and teens Strong communication and personal relations skills, including public speaking and ability to conduct training programs Ability to work well in a team and collaborative coaching environment A positive, enthusiastic, and respectful demeanor A commitment to the programs high standards Strong organizational and administrative skills Must be able to pass reference checks, pre-employment drug screen, criminal history check and reference checks A valid Texas Driver license and valid insurance SPECIAL NOTES: The YMCA of Greater Williamson County is $21 million Association focusing on mission driven, non-profit services. Salary Information: $27,541 - $38,585. Salary commensurate with skills and experience.
