Camp Description: Since 1905, the Treasure Valley YMCA has been offering a traditional resident camp experience for the youth of Idaho. In more than 100 years of camping, weve learned a thing or two! It all begins with our staff, most of which are former campers whove learned through our leadership camps what it means to be a role model and who exemplify the Ys character values or caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Rest assured, your children are in good hands in the beautiful outdoors. Our camp home is Horsethief Reservoir, more than 400 acres on the south side of the reservoir, just east of Cascade off Warm Lake Road.

Job Description and Required Certifications: Position Requirements: Knowledge and skill in working with youth and teens in a positive leadership role providing guidance, and instruction. Significant experience in camping and outdoor recreation preferred. Must be a minimum of 18 years old. Supervisory experience preferred. Must have CPR and First Aid certification prior to start date. General Skills & Abilities: Responsible for the health, safety, and varied camp program for youth and teens. Each counselor is responsible for one cabin group, the development of and assistant counselor, the camp program and the upkeep and inventory of equipment. Camp staff makes available a program that features outdoor living, citizenship training, and democracy. It includes fun and adventure, cooperative planning, group living, social adjustment, improvement of health, enrichment of family living and relationships, and YMCA values Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. Other Information: Camp staff is seasonal positions (June 4 August 16). Camp schedule is Monday Saturday. Live in positions at YMCA camp facility in Cascade, Idaho during work time.
Salary Information: $255 - $300/week
