Camp Description: Since 1957, Deer Valley YMCA Family Camp has offered a rich tradition of values programming for all in a woodland setting in Western Pennsylvania. Deer Valley is located in Somerset County, along Mt. Davis, the highest point in PA.

Job Description and Required Certifications: Under the direction of the Executive Director of Deer Valley YMCA Camp, the Senior Program Director will be responsible for overseeing the daily management and leadership of non-summer programming, including but not limited to school groups, parent/child including Y Guides and Princesses, equestrian programs, and teambuilding programs. The Senior Program Director will also assist in the leadership of Deer Valley Family summer camp program. The Senior Program Director will be accountable for program development, administration, promotion, implementation, and evaluation. The position has a strong emphasis on all off season groups. The Senor Program Director must manage all programs to ensure fiscal responsibility. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent and three or more years of professional camp experience or equivalent. JOB SPECIFICATIONS Position requires valid Drivers License and current CPR, First Aid or ability to obtain within six months of hire. A working background in/understanding of YMCA movement is strongly preferred. Successful candidate must have the physical, visual and auditory ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations. This position involves physical activity such as carrying, lifting up to 50 lbs. on occasion. This position must be able to lead groups through uneven terrain for a minimum of a five mile hike.
Salary Information: $28,000 to $35,000 (DOE), plus housing and benefits
