Job Description and Required Certifications: YMCA Camp Nissokone seeks the first Executive Director for their newly repurposed Family Camp. This is a new position to help establish, grow and nurture a transition from a traditional resident camp to a full summer season Family Camp, one of only seven such YMCA camps dedicated to the mission of bringing families together in multi-generational wholesome activities. If you are self-motivated and eager to create and expand a dynamic family camp, then this experience is a fantastic opportunity! This position is responsible for the staffing, budgeting, program development, Board development, financial development and operation of the camp. The Executive Director is responsible for building top-notch hospitality for guests while providing a tremendous family camp experience. This is an extraordinary opportunity for an individual wishing to take a fabulous property and build, from the very foundation, a high-performing Camp with a long history and enormous potential. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors Degree required, preferred in education, outdoor education, hospitality, recreation, or a similar field. At least 10 years experience in a camp setting with at least 5 years in a supervisory role. YMCA experience helpful, but not required. Family Camp experience highly desirable. SKILLS: Proven track record of success, a strong sense of YMCA mission, and desire to impact families with life-changing experience. Strong budget building experience and record of successful financial development to support camp Experience in communication and marketing approaches effective in attracting families Experienced camp professional with charisma and the ability to relate to children, parents, and older adults. Ability to manage multiple tasks, build an outstanding member-focused team, and build a camp culture for family clientele. Excellent inter-personal skills and ability to build and sustain a constructive, close-knit staff team withy strong hospitality skills. Create an engaging high-quality family camp program and dedicated staff Long-term visionary thinking Well-organized with a solid grasp of hospitality services, which includes an eye for cleanliness and overall facility and equipment care. Goal orientation with commitment to financial and mission success and achievement. Experience engaging and motivating volunteers; Building and strengthening relationships are keys to a successful family camp operation. BENEFITS: Family housing provided on camp. Salary Information: $65,000 - $85,000 annually (depending upon experience)
