Camp Description: Trout Lodge/Camp Lakewood is an ACA accredited facility located in Missouris Eastern Ozarks and is situated on a 360-acre lake surrounded by 5,200 acres of forest covered hills with three ropes courses, traditional summer program and excellent support staff and departments. Located 90 minutes south of St. Louis.

Job Description and Required Certifications: Under the general direction of the Conference Services Director, the Conference Assistant will be responsible for the implementation and delivery of quality conference services during a groups stay. This will include but is not limited to: ensuring that the needs of a group are anticipated by greeting group leaders, meeting with the necessary departments before their arrival, and checking on the groups during their stay. The Conference Assistant must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs and be able to carry this weight for a minimum of eight feet. Perform all duties while exemplifying the Y values of Caring, Honesty,Respect, Responsibility and Faith. The main responsibility for the Conference Assistant is to maintain control of the audio- visual equipment, tables, chairs and all other conference equipment. He/she will be the primary person completing all sets for groups, ordering linen, replacing supplies as needed and keeping all equipment in top condition. The Conference Assistant will be a trainee in the following areas: hospitality, housekeeping, maintenance, guest services and computer systems. He/She will work closely with the directors of all of the above areas to complete his/her training. The Conference Assistant is responsible for assisting with the pre-planning details as delegated by the Conference Director and for providing on-site customer service to the groups during their stay at YMCA Trout Lodge & Camp Lakewood. The Conference Assistant must have experience in coordinating groups and event planning. This person must possess good judgment, customer service skills, organizational skills, creativity, conflict/resolution abilities, and maturity. He/She must possess the ability to plan, execute, follow-up, and evaluate in all areas assigned. Must have a valid Class E driver license and clean driving record. Salary Information: $7.35 an hour plus meals and housing.
