CIT (COUNSELOR IN TRAINING) DIRECTOR Camp Name: YMCA Camp Mason Camp Location: Hardwick, NJ Camp Description: Organization: YMCA Camp Mason is a not-for-profit, independent YMCA located in the township of Hardwick in northwest New Jersey. Located on 460 acres in the Delaware Water Gap, Camp Mason is home to a residential summer camp, day camp, and outdoor center. Programs include traditional summer camp, a western ranch camp, family camps, extensive adventure-based programs, and outdoor education for schools and groups. Mission: Through the transforming experience of outdoor camping rich in bonding friendships, physical activity, and fun YMCA Camp Mason will lead youth, families, and community to an awareness of our core traditions of environmental stewardship, spirituality, and respect for our fellow man. Mason YMCA YMCA Location: Hardwick, NJ Job Description and Required Certifications: Requirements: Age 21+ Previous experience in child care or summer camp settings Applicable experience working with adolescents Superior leadership skills and an ability to convey those skills Responsibilities: Plan and execute a staff training experience for the CITs Coordinate the CIT program with other staff and areas of camp Advise Camp Director on progression of the program and the CIT participants Provide active and dynamic feedback to CIT participants over the course of the program Rotating with other leadership to monitor camp after lights out, assisting with emergencies and enforcing curfew and other camp policies Assist Camp Director with staff training and development prior to, and during camp Assist with general camp program when needed Other duties not specifically addressed in this document but deemed necessary by the Camp Director or other executive staff members.
