Camp Name: Kishwaukee Family YMCA Summer Day
Camp Location: Sycamore, IL
Camp Description: Kishwaukee Family YMCA Summer Day Camp is a full day summer program full of fun and adventure. Day Camp runs from June through August and is open to children entering Kindergarten through entering Ninth grade. Day Camp activities allow children to create art and crafts, explore science, swim, go on field trips, play sports and participate in special events. Day Camp provides an opportunity for campers to build assets and character, experience new things, learn and grow all in an environment of fun and friendship.

Job Description and Required Certifications: Supervisory Responsibilities Direct supervision of camp staff in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Plan, train, assign, and direct camp staff. Develop opportunities for continued staff growth throughout the camp program. Address complaints and resolve problems. Review and approve group lesson plans. Program Responsibilities Ensure the highest quality camp program. Provide accurate organized record keeping of camp participants and curriculum. Review and finalize camp plans and ensure execution of these plans including field trips, special events, daily activities and additional programming. Responsible for camper connection and retention throughout the program. Responsible for working within the confines of the department budget. A commitment to safety that is evident throughout the Camp Program. Ensure campers development of the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility in a safe and nurturing environment. Ensure campers exposure to the Search Institutes 40 Developmental Assets. Equipment and facilities that are kept in good repair and condition. Develop innovative camp programs that include quality instruction and staffing. Develop staff that understand and deliver the YMCA mission, character development and the member involvement model. Maintain open communication with parents, staff and Youth Development Director. Other duties as assigned.
Salary Information: $9.00 - $11.00 (based on experience)
