Camp Name: Camp Pinewood
Camp Location: Twin Lake, MI
Camp Description: Traditional but up-to-date, Camp Pinewood features 16 cabins on a private, spring-fed lake, with every activity from sailing to horseback riding. The camp is nestled in the heart of the Manistee National Forest near Muskegon, Michigan. Its convenient but remote enough to ensure that everyone enjoys the natural beauty of the camps 200-acre facility.

Job Description and Required Certifications: Job Summary: Camp Pinewood is a diverse co-ed summer resident camp program located in Western Michigan and serving campers aged 5-17 primarily from the Chicago area. Staff are required to attend all pre-camp trainings and commit to the entirety of camp season June-August. Additional employment opportunities are available before and after these dates. Under the direct supervision of the Camp Director, the Health Officer is responsible for proper health care and first aid for campers and staff. Scope of Responsibilities: Collect all campers and staff medication keeping them locked up and dispensable as directed; check all campers for communicable diseases, health problems, illnesses as directed; collect and file all camper and staff health forms; maintain all first aid kits; maintain daily treatment log; treat first aid emergencies and other contingencies; secure proper treatment for campers and staff requiring a Doctor's or hospital attention; give brief health checks to all campers leaving the camp property for overnight trips assuring proper information is available to staff members; contact parents of camper requiring physician's attention or overnight stay in health center; fill out incident reports; observe and advise staff on health, disease, sanitation, and cleanliness issues. Requirements: Must have a bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent education experience; must be licensed by the state as a RN, EMT, or LP; Must have current CPR and First Aid Certification; Wilderness First Aid or Responder or EMT. Plus RN, LP, EMT from State of Michigan preferred. must have 1-3 years of nursing and/or related experience; prior camp experience is preferred. We are proud to be an EEO/AA employer M/F/D/V.
