ASSISTANT CAMP MAINTENANCE MANAGER Camp Name: Camp Duncan Camp Location: Ingleside, IL Camp Description: Since 1921, Camp Duncan has provided safe, quality camping programs for boys and girls ages seven to 15 and Teen Adventure Camps for 15 to 17 year olds. All activities are geared to the developmental level of the campers. Camp Duncan is a co-ed, summer resident camp located near Fox Lake, Illinois, on 278 acres. Sponsoring YMCA: Camp Duncan YMCA YMCA Location: Ingleside, IL Job Description and Required Certifications: JOB SUMMARY: General maintenance at YMCA Camp Facility-Position requires living on the grounds and available for 24 hour call. SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Follows all guidelines as presented by the Camp Maintenance Manager Follows the guidelines set forth by the YMCA Association Complies with all building, fire and life safety codes Provides detailed reports when emergencies occur On a daily basis identifies maintenance projects Provides hands on assistance with repairing camp buildings, equipment, boilers pumps plumbing, HVAC and carpentry Assists in implementing preventive maintenance for all mechanical, electrical and structural systems Provides detailed reports on day to day repairs Provides assistance in areas of energy management and hazardous materials Maintains inventory of custodial supplies at all times. Assists in implementing preventive maintenance Keeps inventory stored safely at all times. Uses CMMS Application for use as Maintenance Assistant REQUIREMENTS: Must have a High School Diploma plus specialized training (min 6 mos. to 2 years) and 3 mos. to 1 year maintenance experience. Must be able to read, understand and convey equipment operating instructions. Any trade knowledge. Ability to learn and operate CMMS application and underlying computerized components.
