Job Description and Required Certifications: The NY YMCA Camp is seeking for a qualified individual who will maintain the health and safety of all participants, guests and staff through effective interpretation of health forms, dispensing of medications, responding to injury or illness and effective prevention. The Healthcare Administrator Assistant will help to ensure the delivery of health care and needs of participants, staff and volunteers. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Communicate effectively with children, parents and staff in absence of Healthcare Administrator. • Be thorough and precise in administering medications, treating patients and record keeping. • Assist with dispensing of medications and have the ability to manipulate medical equipment (ex. Nebulizer) in accordance with standing orders. • Assist with compiling medical forms and screenings, and ensure each person has a current medical form on file with the required physical exam and up to date immunization records. • Assist with the transportation of staff and program participants • Work closely with the camp medical staff and leadership team. • Help other departments when needed. QUALIFICATIONS: • AA Degree; Bachelor’s preferred. • Registered EMT, LPN or RN. • Current First Aid/CPR/BLS/NYS certifications. • Good medical knowledge and the ability to apply knowledge. • Excellent communication skills. • Must be available to work and live on-site. • Must be 21 years of age or older.
