DIRECTOR/PROGRAM DIRECTOR CAMP SPEERS Camp Name: Camp Speers-Eljabar YMCA Camp Location: Dingmans Ferry, PA Camp Description: Located on more than 1100 acres of beautiful land in the Pocono Mountains, Camp Speers-Eljabar YMCA has been serving the needs of our campers and creating outstanding programs for 65 years now. Sponsoring YMCA: Camp Speers-Eljabar YMCA YMCA Location: Dingmans Ferry, PA Job Description and Required Certifications: Camp Speers-Eljabar YMCA is seeking an experienced Camp Administrator and Superstar to lead our teen camp (co-ed entering 8th - 11th Grades) this summer as our Camp Speers Program Director. This is a seasonal position that requires the successful candidate to live & work on site June 3rd August 24th with some pre & post season responsibilities that can be conducted on a flexible basis. Salary for this position is $ 455 per week during June 3rd August 24th period plus hourly rate during pre/post season work. Other seasonal employment as an Outdoor Center Program Specialist may also be available March June and/or late August end of October. Minimum Requirements: 23 years of age. MUST HAVE Summer Camp leadership experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills. High energy, enthusiastic, creative person with a great spirit of summer camp. Good driving record and able to drive Camp vehicles as needed Key Responsibilities: Lead, inspire, supervise and manage Camp Speers counseling and program staff Responsible for the day to day activities & programs of Camp Speers Liaison between parent and camp regarding any parent or camper concerns Plan, coordinate, and implement all special event activities, evening programs and chapels for your respective camp. Work as a key team player to assure that a safe, fun & quality program is provided in all areas to all campers and staff. Drive out of camp trips as needed Monitor and lead meal time procedures. Maintain and review records and evaluations of all programs, operations, staff and facilities. Salary Information: $ 455 per week during June 3rd August 24th period plus hourly rate during pre/post season. Housing and meals when meals are provided to campers and camp guests.
