Camp Description: Camp Pinewood is a diverse co-ed summer resident camp program located in Western Michigan and serving campers aged 5-17 primarily from the Chicago area. Staff are required to attend all pre-camp trainings and commit to the entirety of camp season June-August. Additional employment opportunities are available before and after these dates.

Job Description and Required Certifications: Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Camp Director, the Cook orders, prepares and cooks food and have overall responsibility for the kitchen operation ensuring a positive working environment consistent with the camp goals. Scope and Responsibilities: order food and provisions based on menu and inventory needs; prepare all meals; dish food for serving; put away food; work with Outpost Director and Tripping Director on out of camp meal requests, snacks, etc.; advise Camp Director of problems; advise Camp Director of menu changes, use of leftovers, and other related problems; train staff in kitchen procedures and cleanliness procedures; supervise overall kitchen cleanliness; other duties as assigned. Requirements: Must have high school diploma or equivalent work/education experience. Must have at minimum 3 months experience working in food services. ServSafe Certification is a plus.
Salary Information: $10.00/Hr.-$15.00/Hr.
