ADULT DISABILITY CAMP COUNSELOR (SEASONAL) Camp Name: Camp Fitch YMCA Camp Location: North Springfield, PA Camp Description: For almost 100 years Camp Fitch has embraced the same timeless mission of helping children grow in spirit, mind and body. Located in North Springfield, Pennsylvania, Camp Fitch offers fun, adventure and learning on the beautiful shores of Lake Erie! Camp Fitch is a camp like no other: an incredible natural environment, wonderful facilities, tremendous programs and activities, and, of course, a professional and dedicated staff comprised of experienced, mission-focused professionals. Sponsoring YMCA: Fitch Branch YMCA YMCA Location: North Springfield, PA Job Description and Required Certifications: Our program provides week long overnight experiences for intellectually disabled adults ages 18-80. Counselors are responsible for the general health, safety and enjoyment of 3 or 4 campers with a variety of mental, physical and/or emotional disabilities. Counselors will live indoors with their campers and the rest of the program staff in a modern lodge. Counselors should be excellent role models, positive, outdoorsy, creative, safety-conscious, and caring. Candidates can be male or female and must be at least 18 years of age. Training is provided. Dates of employment are June 9th through August 3rd, 2013.
