KITCHEN MANAGER Camp Name: YMCA Camp Tippecanoe Camp Location: Tippecanoe, OH Camp Description: YMCA Camp Tippecanoe is a traditional overnight residential camp for boys and girls. We offer more than just your typical camp programs, we offer a life time of memories and friendships that last forever. Camp Tippecanoe is seeking college students willing to be professional role models for the summer for kids ages 7 to 17. Applicants should have a love for the outdoors, a passion to make a difference in a kids life and playful spirit Since 1958 we have been impacting campers with a heritage of I AM THIRD, good character values and making friendships. Counselors stress the importance of being you in a loving and nonjudgmental environment. Come and let the real person inside shine at camp. Sponsoring YMCA: YMCA Camp Tippecanoe YMCA Location: Tippecanoe, OH Job Description and Required Certifications: Must be 21+ years with 3 years food service experience. Kitchen Manager will live in assigned village in a cabin along with 2 other counselors and up to 12 campers. He/She will support all Food Service operations as directed by the Food Service Director. He/She are responsible for execution of menu, food service at meals, food preparation and maintaining a clean/organized work environment. Applicants must have cooking experience in a commercial kitchen as well as food service experience. Tippecanoe has created a culture of excellence through hiring quality staff, putting the campers first and promoting good character values. Salary Information: $300-$400/week + room & board. Housing and meals are provided for the summer. Staff must live at camp. Enjoy one evening off a week, 1-2 hours each day & 2 hours some evenings. Time off can be spent in our staff lounge with internet and phone access.
