TENT COUNSELOR Camp Name: Camp Wiyaka Camp Location: Richmond, NH Camp Description: Camp Description- Located on Sandy Pond in Richmond, New Hampshire, Camp Wiyaka is a residential summer camp for children ages 7-15. Our daily schedule allows children to participate in traditional camp offerings and choose some unique activities to design their own week. Theres time for swimming, boating, doing arts and crafts, archery, playing sports and games, learning about nature and so much more. Nightly campfires, family style meals, and platform tents have been part of the Camp Wiyaka tradition since 1921. We offer coed and single gender weeks during the summer season. In addition to the week long programs, 3-day Mini Camp sessions and 2-week Leader-In-Training take place during the summer. Sponsoring YMCA: Camp Wiyaka YMCA YMCA Location: Athol, MA Job Description and Required Certifications: Description: Counselors will live in a tent with up to 7 campers and are responsible for the health and welfare of the children. Counselors will lead activities, and assist in the Arts+Crafts, Sports+Games, Waterfront, and Nature program areas. Each Counselor is required to attend and participate in camp wide events and will need to organize tent events. Qualifications: - Minimum 18 years of age - Experience and / or desire for working with youth - Willingness for follow directions and work as a team member - Strong leadership and organization skills - Willingness to as for assistance when needed or desired - Clean CORI / SORI, background check - Good health - Ability to interact with all age levels o Capability to relate to youth and adults in a positive manner o Supervise others of varying ages and abilities Salary Information: Salary Range: $200 - $220 per week Room and Board Provided: Yes How to Apply: Visit our website www.campwiyaka.org to find an application.
