SEASONAL OVERNIGHT CAMP COUNSELOR Camp Name: YMCA Camp Matawa Camp Location: Campbellsport, WI Camp Description: YMCA Camp Matawa is a fun, safe place where kids experience a wide variety of camp activities such as: horseback riding, canoeing, fishing, crafts, climbing, archery, and swimming-just to name a few! YMCA Location: Milwaukee, WI Job Description and Required Certifications: YMCA Camp Matawa is looking for outstanding role models to work at camp with children in an outdoor setting. YMCA Camp Matawa is a fun, safe place where kids experience a wide variety of camp activities such as: horseback riding, canoeing, fishing, crafts, climbing, archery, and swimming- just to name a few! Major Responsibilities: Responsible for the supervision and activity planning for a cabin group of 8-12 campers Committed to making a positive impact in the lives of the kids we serve Provide kids ages 7-17 exceptional programming and enriching life experiences Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age; one year of college education is preferred First Aid and CPR certified before the start of staff training Skills and Abilities: Must be able work outdoors for the majority of the day. Requires participation with and leadership of youth in a wide variety of physical activities; requires the ability to traverse the campgrounds on a frequent basis throughout the day. Must exhibit the core values of caring, respect, responsibility and honesty. Good communication skills are required; must be able to interact with campers. Able to work as part of a team.
