Camp Description: Camp Jorn is located in the beautiful north woods of Wisconsin and sits on over 70 acres overlooking Rest Lake, surrounded by the Northern Highland State Forest. We offer traditional camp experiences for children 8yrs-16yrs. Our mission is for all who engage in Camp Jorn YMCA experiences to recognize and develop value in themselves and in the world around them. At camp, we want our campers to get a chance to unplug from the world and learn what it means to be caring, honest, respectful, responsible, and grow as a person. We have been operating since 1953, and are celebrating our 60th anniversary this year! We welcome you to join our CJ family.

Job Description and Required Certifications: The Crafts Program Instructor plans, directs, and supervises Camp Jorn's handicrafts and related programs and helps maintain standards that lead to a quality program. They teach daily instructional classes and supervise cabin and free-time activities. This person should have a flare of creativity that they can incorporate into a camp setting. The Crafts Instructor will help monitor proper use of the craft equipment and use of the craft barn area. They will submit orders for all equipment and supplies needed, ensuring timely arrival of materials for each session. Requirements: Minimum of 19 years of age or College Student. Training and experience in creative camp-craft activities. Ability to set up demonstration area and program, and to teach skills to staff and campers of all ages. Ability to supervise program assistants. Desire and ability to work with children outdoors. Current CPR & First Aid certification. Flexible, diplomatic, enthusiastic, and team orientated individual committed to modeling and teaching values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Personal Growth.
Salary Information: Weekly rate based on experience and qualifications. Starting at $240/wk from June - Mid August, room & board included.
