Camp Description: Located in Richmond, New Hampshire, Camp Takodah is in the heart of the Monadnock Region on the shores of pristine, spring-fed Cass Pond. Were known for our excellent staff, one of New Englands nicest waterfronts, and classic camp programs that include performing arts, nature, sports, ropes course, arts and crafts, swim lessons and boating. More importantly, our Friendly-to-All way of life helps campers find friendships with a special integrity that can last them a lifetime.

Job Description and Required Certifications: Principal Responsibilities: The Management Trainee, under direct supervision of our Educational Developmental Travel Director and our Camping Services Director, will have responsibilities in every aspect of all of our Travel Programs as well as in administrative duties pertaining to Camp Takodah. Scope of Responsibilities: Coordinate all American Heritage Tour and New England Heritage Tour registration and promotional meetings Assist in leading monthly meetings for all travel trips Attend travel programs in a group leader capacity (Boston, Philadelphia, Gettysburg, and Washington, D.C.) Assist in new program development Distribution and collection of program materials and forms Monthly newsletter development Website management Limited graphic design (t-shirts, brochures, flyers etc.) Camp Takodah Program Support Some Nights and Weekends required Qualifications: Minimum Associates' Degree or equivalent field experience required Previous Travel or Camp experience is a plus Skills Detail oriented and well-organized, with the ability to plan projects, activities, and schedule several months in advance Excellent customer service skills Exceptional skills relating to both children and parents Flexible and able to handle multiple projects at the same time Computer proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) The Cheshire YMCA is looking for a committed and dedicated candidate that will bring self-motivation and passion to the program. Salary Information: Stipend for 12 months is around $10,000 with room and board (during the camping season) included.
