Camp Name: Camp Manitou-Lin
Camp Location: Middleville, MI
Camp Description: Located on Barlow Lake, Camp Manitou-Lin offers kids a variety of experiences! To support the amenities listed, we have nine out buildings and 10 resident cabins that can house 220 people. Our riding center houses 50 horses year-round and we also have two archery ranges, a chapel, zip line, high ropes course, rock wall, along with three docks and a variety of boats

Job Description and Required Certifications: The Outposter Trip Leader will provide leadership on 3 separate trips as well as lead and facilitate the Counselor In Training Program throughout the summer This position includes room and board and runs from early June- late August. Requirements Must be at least 21 years of age High School Graduate or equivalent required; 1 year of college preferred Current first aid/CPR certification preferred Lifeguard certification preferred Documented training/experience with river/hiking trips with campers age 12-16 Experience with canoeing, climbing, mountain biking, cooking over campfire, etc Wilderness First Aid preferred Ability to coordinate an adventure/ropes course program using a course designed for camp Ability to supervise program assistants and make scheduling assignments Desire and ability to work with teens in the oudoors Responsibilities Plan, facilitate and evaluate the Outposter Trips (South Manitou Island and Manistee River) Coordinate with all facets of the Outposter trips including check in calls, vendor relationships, gear rental and parent communication Teach and monitor proper use of equipment Conduct initial and end-of-season inventory, and store equipment for safety Check equipment and make (or file for) repairs Conduct daily check of equipment for safety, cleanliness, and good repair Write (with the help of activity assistants) and check lesson plans for all activities Submit orders for equipment and/or supplies when needed, ensuring timely arrival of materials Assist in packing all materials and supplies when season ends Evaluate current season and make recommendations for equipment, supplies, and program for following season These are not the only duties to be performed. Some duties may be reassigned and other duties may be assigned as required. Essential Functions: Visual- Must have 20/20 vision with or without the use of corrective lenses; Auditory- Must be able to adequately hear with or without the use of hearing devices; Physical- Must be in good physical health approved by a licensed physician. Must also be able to lift at least 30 pounds; Cognitive-Must be able to understand the position and the duties that are required
Salary Information: $200/week
