Camp Description: Camp Jorn YMCA is a traditional resident camp serving boys and girls, ages 8 to 16. We are located on the Manitowish Chain of Lakes in Northern Wisconsin. We offer one and two week sessions in flexible combinations. Specialty programs include horse riding and water-skiing as well as a variety of adventure trips. Elective classes and activities include fishing, air riflery, swimming, recreational sports, archery, hiking, kayaking, sailing, campfires, crafts and much more. Teen Programs include Leadership-In-Training (LIT) and Counselor-In-Training (CIT) options. Family Camps and retreat season rentals also available. ACA accredited.

Job Description and Required Certifications: The Camp Director will be responsible for the preparation and day to day operation of summer camp and will play a leadership role in our year around camp programs. The person in this role has thrree primary responsibilities: First is the promotion and marketing of program. The second is the actual operation and supervision of all resident camp programs. This person will focus on the highest quality program delivery possible through quality leadership, staff recruitment training supervision, as well as dynamic programming. The third focus will be on recruiting and delivering program to retreat season groups. Other components include working with board committees to implement special events, the Strong Kids Campaign goals, marketing plans, and year around program implementation. Person will work from the camp location and will require frequent travel to the Lake County, IL area. The Camp Director will work closely with the registration process to provide phone and personal communication with campers and families.
Salary Information: $27,000 - $40,000, 8 % Retirement Plan (6% paid by Camp), Health Insurance at 100%, Dental at 50%, and other benefits as outlined in personnel policy.
