Job Description and Required Certifications: Outstanding organization with a rich history of summer, wilderness and leadership programs serving generations of families. Ensures that all programs are of the highest quality incorporating character and leadership through the Manito-wish collaborative model. Essential Functions: Guide the work of the program team in developing, implementing and evaluating programs. Partner with management team in setting the overall strategic direction and goals. Guide work of the program team to ensure all programs meet or exceed enrollment goals. Helps to determine strategic marketing and communication efforts. Hires, manages, coaches and evaluates 3-full-time program directors, executive chef and health center staff. Ensures that seasonal staff (270) recruitng, hiring, training and evaluation leads to the highest quality staff chosen to lead youth in summer, wilderness travel and collaborative leadership programs. Partners with families, schools, youth agencies, colleges and various government agencies to ensure successful relationships leading to increased participation and understanding of Camp Manito-wish YMCA. Prepares annual program budgets in conjunction with program directors. Serves on various task forces as appropriate and established by the Board of Directors. Understands risks in program, successfully achieves ACA accreditation, partners with local health department, works closely with consulting physician and keeps the organization informed of training opportunities and program needs to manage risks appropriately. Opportunities to volunteer in annual fund drive, provide input on capital needs and participate in and/or support alumni events. The successful candidate will: Have extensive knowledge of camping programs including wilderness travel and client based programs. Successful experience in management of seasonal staff/FTstaff/volunteers with the ability to lead collaborative teams. Ability to travel to recruit for participants and staff. Budget management experience. Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Strong communication skills including written, oral and social media. Ability to partner with staff, participants and sponsoring agencies by exhibiting excellent listening skills, confidence, honesty and follow-through. Strong attention to detail and highly organized. Highly motivated and able to multi-task and manage time effectively. Ability to related to diverse groups of people.
Salary Information: $52,000-$56,000. Excellent benefit package including health, dental, long term disabilty, flexible spending account, PTO and 12% retirement paid by the YMCA upon qualification.
