FOOD SERVICE DIRECTOR Camp Name: YMCA Camp Flaming Arrow Camp Location: Hunt, TX Camp Description: Founded in 1927, the 213-acre camp sits on the Guadalupe River in the Texas Hill Country. Sponsoring YMCA: YMCA of Greater San Antonio YMCA Location: San Antonio, TX Job Description and Required Certifications: Description: Under the guidance of the Executive Camp Director, this position is part of the team responsible for marketing, planning, developing, supervising and coordinating a high quality Resident Summer and Retreats program at YMCA Camp Flaming Arrow. This position carries responsibility for providing quality food service within nutritional and cost guidelines. Must meet applicable American Camp Association Standards and Texas Health laws in food service area. Responsible for cleanliness and light maintenance of the camp kitchen and dining facility. Incumbent is responsible for the preparation and management of the Food Service Department Budget. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in a related field is highly preferred. A minimum of an Associates Degree or equivalent work experience will be considered. YMCA or camping experience is also highly preferred. 1-2 years experience in food service, hospitality, and/or customer service is required. Experience hiring, supervising, and leading a team is required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, customer service, public relations skills, and the ability to work with youth and adults are essential. Must have a valid drivers license, clean driving record, intermediate experience with computers, including personal computer applications such as database and word processing.
