Heart of the Valley YMCA is looking for a passionate individual to supervise specialy staff as well as camp activities including campfires.
Guntersville, AL 35976-
- Will provide direct supervision of Waterfront Director/Ropes Director/Specialty Staff
- Provide activity schedule for staff every week.
- Manage activity sign-ups of campers.
- Responsible for planning, logistics, and implementation of campwide activities every week.
- Responsible for planing and logistics of opening and closing campfires.
- Assist in supply ordering throughout the summer.
- Other duties as assigned by the Camp Director.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- 1-2 years of previous camp experience with focus on programming.
- 1-2 years of camp supervision experience required.
- Ability to schedule and plan events.
- Organized, professional, and empathetic.

- CPR, First Aid and AED certifications
- Child Abuse Prevention training provided prior to the supervision of children.
- Previous experience with diverse populations preferred.
- Direct and supervise program and activities throughout the camp.
- Promote a positive environment that fosters fun, safety and our YMCA values.
- Be a supportive, constructive member of our camp community. Actively working to create positive quality experience for all campers and staff.
- Plan, organize and facilitate campwide activities every week.
- Plan and direct opening and closing campfires.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Camp Director.
