Being Community

You have a voice. And so does Sean. This is his Y. His words. His story.

Several weeks ago while sitting at the dining room table eating my oatmeal breakfast I noticed a dry oat slowly moving across the kitchen floor.  Intrigued by the magically moving oat I got down on my hands and knees to offer a closer inspection only to find that this mysterious oat was being carried by a very small and very strong ant.  My usual inclination would be to assist this ant in transitioning to the here after but warding off my temptation to help was the great lesson the ant was teaching me about who we need to be in community in order to see change in our community.  more

Deena Kastor Breaks Masters World Record

2004 Olympic Marathon Bronze medalist Deena Kastor had another career highlight yesterday when she broke the masters world record at the Philadelphia Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon. Her time of 1:09:36 beat Russia's Irina Permitina's 2008 record by 20 seconds. more
