How Do You Stay an Active Mom?

Packing the kids’ lunches, getting them on the school bus, and driving them to soccer or band practice—all in a day’s work, right? From the time you make sure your kids are brushing their teeth in the morning to checking their homework at night, exercising can be a fun way to reward yourself whether it’s a little “mom time” jogging on the treadmill, stepping to the beat in a studio, or flexing on the yoga mat. Moms across the country are walking through the Y’s doors to put a little (or a lot) of spring into their step. So, when you make it past the welcome lobby, what’s your favorite way to stay active?
- Aqua or Swimming Class
- Elliptical, Stationary Bike, or Spinning Machine
- Martial Arts (Kickboxing, Tai Chi, etc.)
- Team Sports (Tennis, Soccer, Basketball, etc.)
- Treadmill or Track
- Weights or Personal Training
- Yoga or Pilates
- Zumba or Another Dance Class
- I like doing them all.
- Who has time to work out? My kids give me enough exercise.
