Watch DEPRESSION: Out of the Shadows May 21 on PBS
YMCA of the USA is a community partner for the PBS “Take One Step” campaign, which is based on the concept that small behavioral changes can add up to big accomplishments. The centerpiece of the campaign is a series of health-related PBS programs. PBS is debuting two new programs this spring.
“DEPRESSION: Out of the Shadows” will premiere on May 21. Also a 90-minute documentary and a 30-minute panel discussion, this broadcast will weave together the science and treatment of depression with intimate portrayals of families and individuals coping with its wide-ranging effects. The program will raise awareness and eliminate the stigma surrounding this prevalent disease, underscoring the fact that whether we are battling it in our families, our workplaces or in our own minds, depression touches everyone.
